Hapé and Sananga
Kambo's Plant Allies

Hapé

Pronounced Ha-Pay

It is a sacred tobacco-based shamanic snuff. It is strongly blown into the nostrils with a special blowpipe called a Kuripe (self administration) or Tepi (administered by another).

The administration process will share strong sensations with your sinuses, through the head, leading to a flow of energy throughout

the body.

The purpose of this medicine is to release emotional, physical, and spiritual illnesses, aid the mind to focus and ground.

Tribes in the Amazon create different Hapé blends by mixing Tobacco and various tree ashes together.

I personally serve Hapé made by the wife of the Chief of the Yawanawa Tribe. It is a blend of Tsunu tree ash and tobacco. I find this blend aligning, clearing, and feminine.

I also serve a Huni Kuin blend of 7 herbs and Tobacco. This blend is deeply grounding and masculine.

Hapé is served before applying Kambo if you decide to sit with me in ceremony.

Sananga

Is powerful eye drops that are derived from the shrub

Tabernaemontana undulate.

The drops create an intense burning sensation that begins at the crescendo and dissipates over the next few minutes.

Sananga clears out physical and energetic patterns from your eyes, inner vision, and mind.

Sananga is also said to give texture and dimension to your perception of your environment. I personally have noticed an improvement to my eyesight since beginning to work with medicine.

You'll feel very relaxed after sitting with this medicine which is why I serve it first in Kambo ceremonies. It helps calm your mind and drops you into your body.

It is very important that you do not wear contact lenses to ceremony.
